Our website offers an introduction to our company and the services we provide. We have a portfolio of past work and a gallery of current stock product.

Tell us about your company.

European Stone Concepts is a family owned and operated business. It originated under George Lastinger, Sr. as "A Touch of Italy" almost thirty years ago out of New York. In the early 90's, the company was moved to Virginia to betteraccommodate the clientèle.

Our goal is to provide a quality product through superior craftsmanship with both old world skills and the latest in modern technology.

What services do you offer?

European Stone Concepts is a custom marble and granite fabricator. We specialize in kitchen and bathroom pieces such as counter tops, tub decks, vanity tops, back splashes, and fireplace surrounds. We are also experienced in commercial work. If you can imagine it we can figure out a way to fabricate it.

We offer free estimates, competitive pricing, measuring by trained professionals, custom designs, superior craftsmanship, and reliable expert installation.

-Custom fabrication from blue prints or from in-house designs -Cutting block material up to 8" thick -Waterjet cutting up to 6" thick -Lamination up to 9mm thick on both straight and curved edges -Restoration and refurbishing stone -Complex miter cuts and lamination -Manufacturing up to five kitchens per day

What makes your company different from other, similar offerings?

Our staff is comprised of highly trained artisans with a combined experience of over one hundred years. We are passionate about producing a superior product and strive for perfection. We provide a two week lead time from time of measure and we are timely with repairs and punch list items.

What is your company's goal?

Our mission is to create a beautiful and functional product that not only meets the needs of and individual's home life but to add a style and elegance that will last forever.

Tell us about your facility.

We have an 8,000 square foot facility located in Troy, VA. The location allows us to service all of Virginia, the Washington, D.C. metro area, and some areas of North Carolina and West Virginia. We have a showroom, fabrication shop, and a stone yard on the premises. We offer tours with an appointment.

What equipment do you use?

We use the latest in fabrication technology. Our facility houses two bridge saws for cutting. We have two CNC routers allowing for pieces as large as 140"x80". Our in-line edge polisher allows for mass production of commercial or straight run pieces. We are able to hone or polish any surface of the material needed with our radial arm polisher. We have waterjet cutting capabilities which is capable of two dimensional cutting for medallions, coutertop inlays, and other custom needs.

What material do you carry?

We have over 100 different types of stone at our facility with the ability to get special materials as well. We have a large variety of granite and marbles. We also carry some of the more exotic stones like limestone and onyx. We have a selection of engineered solid surface products and recycled materials. Most of our slabs are hand selected by our owners.

What is your pricing structure?

The pricing varies widely on the type of stone and where it is imported from. Our base stones start around $45 a square foot and can go up to more than $150 a square foot for the more exotic stones. Our pricing include installation and is very competitive with other manufactures.
