Frank Rogers

Bristol

Please give a short summary of your website?

Home Theater design and installation services in Connecticut Our services include: custom home theater design, tv installation, surround sound speaker installation, media room installations, man cave design and contracting, commercial digital signage installation and site surveying.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Online marketing and business oportunities. To share our work with prospect clients within the state of Connecticut. We also wanted to allow prospect customer's an easy way to get their questions about home theaters answered.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

We launched our first website on August 15th 2001. It is a home security website which is a division of our home theater installation company.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We wanted to make it a name that meant we are a high tech company and our products and services are streamline and superior within our market in the industry.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

The owner of the company made the website from scratch. We did not pay someone to create, design or write the contained content. Our website is one of a kind and unique. The owner continues to keep the website up to date. We offer similar services as large national and local companies at very competitive prices.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Our main goal is to keep our website for income.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

So far my time has paid off. We've been using our website to bring in weekly business since the first month is was launched. It has been and will continue to me our main source for advertising.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I wouldn't change anything about our site, even with an unlimited budget.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None

What has been your biggest challenge?

Learning how to get my design thoughts and content to translate on my website and get the right message to our visitors. Website promotion has also been a big challenge.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Getting the metatags right and providing a sitemap to yahoo and google.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It is exactly what I expected

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

2-Years so far and counting. I will never stop the website this website will continue for as long as I have my company.
