A one stop wood flooring shop where a professional builders and carpenters can buy stocks of flooring, tools, mouldings, sealants etc. Everything is held in stock at our premises and is available for free next day UK delivery
What inspired you to launch your own website?
To increase sales and brand awareness
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
1997- it was called www.wood-floor.co.uk
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Our present name is derived from the name of our company Birbek Wood Floors Ltd
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
The depth and variety of our stock holding, which also means that as we are not relying on a third party to supply our products, we can deliver on time at a lower cost and overall give a far better service.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I would like to be able to pass the business on to an employee when the time comes to retire.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
As with most things in life, the more you put in, the more you get out!
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Maybe we would employ a full time s.e.o. specialist.

11 years now with no plans to give up.

A far tougher environment in Gordon Brown's credit crunch Britain thats for sure
