Painter offering home improvement services, ie exterior and interior painting services, deck and hardwood floor refinishing, driveway coatings, and more.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Possibility to expand my services to more people who need a quality painter.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

pwwroten.com. Launced a few years ago, relaunced with open source joomla CMS.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

My company name.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We are a company that has over 50 years of experience. We stand out with our quality craftsmanship.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To drive more traffic to my website.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I believe a quality website is important. So the time and money is well worth it when customers or potential customers wish to see what my company is about.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would probably have more video and multimedia on my website or design a flash site.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

The learning curve for using a CMS was a challenge, but I am learning every day.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Just updating my website to the new joomla format.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

So far word of mouth, but I am just beginning to really dabble in web marketing.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Requires more time than I had expected.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I will always have my site, but I hope that it will see a significant increase in traffic.
