VitraStone is a fabulous product made from 70% - 85% recycled products such as recycled glass and fly ash blended with a proprietary blend of eco friendly ceramic cement. Twice as strong as our concrete competitors and undeniably more beautiful, you will love the feel of VitraStone over any other concrete or natural stone products available today.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Inspiration for site was to launch our very own company via the web. Almost all our products are sold through site.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
First launched lithistone.com, in 2003. Since then we have progressed to running roughly 5 different sites, selling sinks and countertops
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Was on a road trip and hashed it out over 14 hrs of driving!
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Our Web site is unique due to the clients we target to our site. Although soon the green building theme will be on every site. It is similar do to the flash we run
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To have it linked into several sites with our franchisee's.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Time gives ten thousand fold profit. we don't spend very much on the site as in running it or promoting.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would include more data, pictures, and undoubtedly on advertising to targeted audiences.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
yes.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Knock on wood, we haven't.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting targeted traffic...for free.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Direct emails to potential clients, and listing with targeted associations.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
None.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
We have had it up for about a year.
