What inspired you to launch your own website? A vision to be able to work from home when we started our family. When did you launch your first website, and what was it? UniqueVanities.com is my first site launched in 2005. I also launched 2 additional sites, one fro our constrcution company - http://www.RSquaredRenovations.com and http://www.CustomGunCabinets.com How did you decide on a name for your website? I started with a basic domain search for Bathroom vanities, and tried several attempts before I finalized on UniqueVanities.com What makes it different from other, similar offerings? Our focus is on the client online buying experience. I want to ensure all of our clients feel comfortable and confident in their online experience. What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?) The long term vision is to keep it, and develop several more furniture websites, and create opportunities for other work from home parents. How does your investment of time and money balance against your success? Time is the greater investment, as I had (and continue to have) a lot of self educating. But I have been very successful and look forward to the opportunity for continued growth on the world wide web. If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand? Yes - as I have several people in line for the expansion. What has been your biggest challenge? The biggest challenge is learning html. What method has been most successful for promoting your website? Learning SEO - so far anyway. How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
