Please give us a short summary of your website?
A family owned Northern Virginia carpet, upholstery, mattress and Tile & Grout cleaning since 1988. We have cleaned hundreds of homes all over Virginia including Fairfax County, Loudoun County, and Prince William County. Astrobrite uses the most advanced cleaning system around: Rotovac Restoration cleaning system.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
To help potential clients find us easier and list all of our services available. Also, to show the difference in the Rotovac carpet cleaning system and the regular wand method.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
In 1999 I launched a personal website of my family.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I had advertised in print on flyers with different colors and found the best response was Astrobrite Pulsar Pink. Also, the word brite in the cleaning world is good. So I choose Astrobrite for the company name.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
We use the Rotovac cleaning wand which cleans 50-75% better than the regular cleaning wand. Secondly, we are family owned and operated. Our guarantee is 100% or the cleaning is free.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Keep it for income and pass it on to my sons.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
In the beginning I put in more time investment for a "make a living income". Now I put in less time for a saving income.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would incorporate the help of a professional SEO company and add more crews/trucks.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, as I answered above: add more crews.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Maintenance and repairing of equipment has been more of an unexpected cost and headache.
What has been your biggest challenge?
To get higher in the generic results of Google for some important keyword phrases has been my biggest challenge.

It has not differed from my expectations
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
1.5 years. Until I retire unless I become more successful and hire someone to take on the responsibility
