    Great Finishing Tools for Painting

I love to paint and make homes look generally beautiful.  In my experience, it is some of the most random things that make a paint job look the best.  Here are some of my personal favorites.

Squeegees are some of the best objects to add texture.  A great thing to do is to use the flat edge and lift it up and down through the paint to create a fan effect.  It is really cool and elegant.  You could even make slits in the squeegee with scissors or a razor to create a combed look.

A wallpaper finishing brush has a great texture to use with paint.  Just drag the striated brush through the paint and admire!

Another thing that I bet you have never thought of is to use a cake decorator bag and tips.  The only catch is you must use thick paint to embellish molding, furniture or anything really!  Otherwise you will have a runny mess.  It is a create way to add flare to any design.

The last tip I have is to use with wood.  You can get a cabinet, paint it and distress it yourself with just a set of old keys. Put the keys on a key ring and bash away!  It is a great stress reliever and is very effective for distressing any piece of furniture.

Try these unique tips in your home to add a little unique style for a great price.
