Minimalism, the word itself described its meaning, that is something to do with going simple or minimal, removing all embellishments and just retain the essential and necessary things.
Minimalism is actually a post WWII (50's) movement in different forms of art which is stripped down into their most basic elements. It's a reduction of the elements in Modernism and the opposite of abstracts.
