What inspired you to launch your own website?
I was inspired to launch my own website when I began my home inspection business.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I first launched my current website in July 2007. I previously had another website created by another company from 2003 - 2007. I decided to create my own after looking into Homestead Website Technologies and the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors information on website building.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I used the name of my home inspection business.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
It is different from other home inspection websites in that I created it for home buyers/sellers to feel like they know me and so they can trust me.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
The goal of my website is to provide home buyers/sellers information so they will choose me as their qualified home inspector.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes. I would be able to keep up with the demand. One of the reasons I have my website is to bring in clients to use me as their certified home inspector.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
The method that has been most successful for promoting my website has been the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors and linking to other sites.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have been running my own website since July 2007. I plan to continue my website as long as I am in the home inspection business.
What are your qualifications and what areas do you serve?
I am a certified, licensed, and insured home inspector. I am certified through the International Code Council #5254981-B1. I am a member in good standing with the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI) #07070303. I have passed NACHI's Inspector Exam and abide by their Code of Ethics. I complete 24 hrs. of continuing education yearly. I complete a structural, electrical, roofing, vermiculite insulation, polybutylene plumbing, water heater, and emergency exit course yearly. I use high-tech equipment and have state-of-the-art, easy to read reports. I use a Supra Lock Box Key. I am available Mon. - Sat. and accept personal check, cash, money order, credit, and debit. I serve Metro Atlanta and North GA.
