Well I guess that is the only way to even all the areas with the Minwax ebony stain. I am not an expert with this either but I just thought this is the best way to do it. Or better yet you could hire someone who is an expert when it comes to hardwood floors. Next time you just have to be very careful about it. You see, once you touched or do something about it you could never return it to its natural or original appearance or something. I just hope that you guys could retain its beauty again. Good luck!
