What inspired you to launch your own website?
To be connect to others all over the country and to promote my business.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
My website was launched in 2002 and supports my feng shui and life coaching practice called Creating Sanctuary.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
My business is named Creating Sanctuary and my site URL is my name. I wanted to use my name as I am continually adding, changing, and tweaking what I do for a living. I have reinvented myself (switched careers) three times in my life.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
It's very personal.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
For my site to continually reflect who I am and what I offer to others.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
My website paid for itself in the first year of my business.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would add a shopping section for books, art, a credit card option and my art and blog would be integrated into my site.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I love the internet, I'd make it work!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None really.

Nothing to speak of...
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Linking with other sites and adding my site to specialized directories.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It's been a breeze.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
