What inspired you to launch your own website?
The business began out of my home almost nine years ago, but finding and keeping customers with fliers and newspaper adds was just too slow. With our newly created and much needed website, we are now targeting more customers with online marketing and creating a steady stream of new customers.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
We launched this website about about the Los Angeles Carpet Cleaning Solution about six months ago with increasing results by the week.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
We have actually changed the name of our business several times. The present name reflects our location and business category.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I would have to admit that time invested outweighs everything else, even money. Being a fairly new business I have tried to cut costs by doing everything by myself with a few other colleagues. This creates better money management but decreases free time that I would have otherwise. However, with the business on the increase, I will soon be hiring more employees.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
With an unlimited budget, I would buy a storefront and invest in carpet sales and installation, wood flooring sales and installation, and carpet cleaning equipment sales. I would of course change the website or create a new one to match these needs.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes! Our customer demand is already on the rise. I would welcome the challenge and perform the services adequately.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Some minor unexpected costs have to do with equipment maintenance and breakdown. One major cost I regret was investing money into an advertising agency that promised me great results. I saw no results and lost my money with no refund. I will definitely not invest in any more advertising agencies. Many online marketing techniques I can do on my own or with a colleague, but I am willing to invest my time to do this.
What has been your biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge is the time invested into online marketing. However, seeing the results is more rewarding than the time sacrifice.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I write articles, at least three per week on different article websites. This has proven to boost my listing up in the natural listings of the major search engines.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I did not expect that online marketing could be so overwhelming in knowledge. Basically, you need a degree to learn everything fast enough and do it well! Since the website draws the customers to want your service, it must look visually pleasing to them and should contain a form for them to fill out their name and number or email address. This offers a way for further customer contact through a newslatter or phone call.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have run the website for several months and will continue to use it as a means of generating new customers to keep the business growing. If there are no big gains in traffic, income, or popularity, I will optimize the website to fit the needs.
